What is TPC?

Formula 1 teams operate under strict testing regulations, meaning opportunities for track time outside of grand prix weekends are limited.

In 2025, TGR Haas F1 Team, in collaboration with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, created the TGR Haas Driver Development Program which oversees TPC (Testing of Previous Cars) events.

TPC events allow teams to run Formula 1 machinery that is at least two years old. However, in 2026, due to the overhaul in regulations, teams are permitted to use their 2025 cars, which includes the VF-25.

The program is designed not only to develop drivers, but also team personnel, providing valuable opportunities to work with a running Formula 1 car outside of a grand prix.
