Individuality and Determination Celebrated for INWED 2024
June 23, 2024The 11th annual International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) has become a date that’s gained global acknowledgement and has created a platform to discuss the invaluable work being done by female engineers across industries.
To celebrate, a selection of team members across departments sat down to share their story’s and provide advice to the next generation of female engineers. Team representatives from Aerodynamics, Trackside Performance, Vehicle Dynamics, and Software discussed how their passion for STEM subjects developed from an interest into a career, their first experiences in the industry and how to follow in their footsteps.
Valentina Lazzarini (Junior Aerodynamicist), Anna Saad (Junior Aerodynamicist), Nunzia Capasso (Aerodynamics Designer), Laura Mueller (Performance Engineer), Saina Koukpari (Junior Software Engineer), Bodjie van Brummen (Junior Vehicle Dynamics Engineer), and Monica Jalem (Simulation Software Engineer) each speak about their career paths, adversities they’ve faced while studying, as well as giving their opinion on what can make budding engineers stand out from the crowd when looking to make that first step in the workplace.
