Nico Hulkenberg, who was born only 2km away from the Dutch border, has revealed a special helmet ahead of this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix.

The helmet, a vibrant tribute to The Netherlands, reflects the country’s flag and his special connection to Zandvoort. Hulkenberg grew up in Emmerich, Germany, just across the border from Nijmegen, spent a lot of time racing around Circuit Zandvoort during his junior career, and even speaks Dutch.

Lymph&Co., a charity foundation whose mission is to draw attention to lymphoma and finance ground-breaking scientific research into better and more effective treatments, will be represented on his helmet to raise funds.

After the Dutch Grand Prix, Hulkenberg’s helmet will be handed over to Bernhard van Oranje (Chairman of Lymph&Co). Together with Lymph&Co ambassador Jack Plooij, he will auction off this unique helmet after the event. The proceeds from this special auction will be fully used by Lymph&Co to fund research into lymphoma.

Nico Hulkenberg, Bernhard van Oranje, Chairman of Lymph&Co, and Robert van Overdijk, Director of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, proudly unveiled this special helmet livery ahead of the race in Zandvoort. Together, they are joining forces to generate greater awareness and resources to improve and advance treatments for lymphoma.
