F1 Academy: Kaylee Countryman targeting strong result at Silverstone
June 30, 2026
TGR Haas F1 Team F1 Academy driver Kaylee Countryman returns to track again this weekend at Silverstone Circuit, home of the British Grand Prix, for Round 3 of the 2026 F1 Academy season.
The series makes its debut at the British venue, with two races scheduled across the weekend on the 5.891km layout. Featuring a mix of high-speed corners and technical sections, Silverstone presents a fresh challenge for the field, although drivers gained valuable experience during a mid-season test at the circuit in April.
Last time out in Montreal, Kaylee secured her maiden F1 Academy podium following an encouraging weekend. She claimed pole position for the reverse grid race and delivered a strong midfield drive to finish P7 in the first race.
However, a more challenging final race followed after overnight rain, with Kaylee finishing P16 after starting from P8.
“Silverstone is a fun and phenomenal circuit to drive on, I can definitely see why everyone likes it so much,” said Kaylee Countryman, TGR Haas F1 Team F1 Academy driver. “Having completed the F1 Academy test there in April gives me a bit more confidence and experience, especially in the wet, which is crucial with how changeable the weather can be there.
“I just need to approach the weekend with a clear mind and stick to my reference points. If we can put everything together at Silverstone, I believe we’ll be in a strong position to score more points and achieve another good result like we did in Canada.”
