Event 2 of the 2025 F1 Sim Racing Championship takes place this week (February 11 - 13) around some of the most revered tracks on the calendar: Round 5 - Great Britain, Round 6 - Belgium, Round 7 - Netherlands, and Round 8 - USA.
MoneyGram Haas F1 Sim Racing team currently lies in tenth position in the team's championship on one point, but as the first round displayed, expect the unexpected in F1 Sim Racing!
Shanaka Clay:
“It's great to be back competing in F1 Sim Racing for another season, though it definitely wasn't the start we were looking for in terms of results. As a team, we showed we have the potential to be fighting for points. We have learned a lot and have debriefed thoroughly to make sure we can execute the races to the standard we know we are all capable of. Event 2 will be very exciting, with some of the most highly-regarded tracks on the calendar coming up - the likes of Silverstone and Spa always provide some action, and we hope to take full advantage of that when it comes! No race is finished before the last corner, as the previous event has shown.”
Joris Croezen:
“Making my debut was something quite special and unique, most of all in a LAN environment and among the biggest names in the industry. Things I have learned are that there is far more pressure than I thought and that it's important to stay positive when something doesn't go our way. Getting out of Q1 means you need to fight multiple World Champions, but I showed in China that I can reach Q3 and fight for points. I’m looking forward to the next event with tracks I know more from my previous League Racing experience.”
Tamás Gál:
“Even though a lot of things went in the wrong direction, I can still take positives from Event 1. My stress management and qualifying performances (lots of Q3 appearances!) have been quite strong. It was pleasant to see we are fighting in the top 10 most of the time. I’ve tried to analyze together with the team what went wrong during some races, and it's mainly a lack of experience and communication in some key moments. For Event 2, I'm really looking forward to scoring more points and of course to racing Spa-Francorchamps as it's one of my favorite tracks on the whole calendar.”
